If you’ve been trying to build a business online for any length of time, you already know one thing…
You need traffic.
But here’s something I’ve learned after spending years buying website traffic and trying different ways to get people in front of my offers:
Not all website traffic is the same.
I’ve tried solo ads, banner ads, paid traffic packages, social media, different advertising platforms…you name it.
Some worked better than others.
And I’ve definitely spent money on traffic that looked great when I saw the number of visitors, but didn’t do much of anything once those visitors actually got to my page.
That’s why these days I’m a lot less impressed by a huge number of clicks.
I’m much more interested in where my traffic is coming from, whether it’s reaching the right audience, and what those visitors actually do after they reach my page.
What Is Quality Website Traffic?
When I talk about quality website traffic, I’m not simply talking about getting more visitors.
I’m talking about getting real people in front of your offer who have some potential interest in what you’re promoting.
Think about it.
1,000 website visitors sounds better than 500.
10,000 sounds even better.
But what good are 10,000 visitors if none of them are remotely interested in what you’re offering?
If I’m promoting an online business, affiliate marketing product or network marketing opportunity, I’d rather have fewer visitors who are actually interested in those topics than thousands of random clicks.
Does targeted traffic guarantee those people will become leads or customers?
Of course not.
There are no guarantees with paid website traffic.
But I’d rather start with people who have some potential interest in my market than simply chase the biggest traffic number I can find.
What Should You Look for When Buying Website Traffic?
This is something I think more online marketers should ask before buying traffic:
Where is the traffic actually coming from?
Are these real visitors?
What kind of audience is being reached?
Is the traffic appropriate for what I’m promoting?
And what happens after those visitors reach my website?
There’s a LOT of cheap website traffic available online.
I’ve bought some of it.
And I’ve learned the hard way that cheap does NOT necessarily equal good.
A traffic package promising thousands of visitors isn’t very valuable if those visitors aren’t doing anything once they get to your page.
These days, I’d rather deal with an established traffic source than buy thousands of mystery clicks just because the price looks good.
Why Traffic Ignition Got My Attention
That’s one of the things that interested me when I first looked at Traffic Ignition.
Traffic Ignition gives members access to wholesale traffic sourced through Traffic Authority.
Traffic Authority has been around since 2015 and has been providing paid website traffic for online marketers for years.
For me, that matters.
It doesn’t mean Traffic Authority traffic will automatically produce leads, signups or sales.
No traffic source can promise you that.
But when I’m spending my own money on paid traffic, I like knowing there’s some history behind the company providing it.
And since I was already spending money on website traffic anyway, the wholesale traffic side of Traffic Ignition was one of the reasons I decided to give it a try.
Can Paid Website Traffic Generate Leads and Sales?
It can.
But here’s the important part…
Traffic is only one piece of the puzzle.
You can have good traffic and still get bad results.
I’ve seen people immediately blame the traffic source when a campaign doesn’t work.
Sometimes the traffic IS the problem.
But sometimes it’s your capture page.
Sometimes it’s the headline.
Sometimes your offer just isn’t connecting with people.
And sometimes the follow-up just isn’t there.
That’s why I don’t think buying more and more traffic is always the answer.
If you’re getting visitors but nobody is opting in, I’d look at the capture page before throwing another thousand visitors at it.
If people are opting in but nobody is clicking your emails, maybe it’s time to look at your follow-up.
If you’re getting clicks but no sales, maybe there’s a disconnect somewhere else in the funnel.
You have to look at the whole picture.
How Do You Know if Your Website Traffic Is Working?
I’m definitely not someone who wants to spend all day staring at spreadsheets.
But there are a few numbers I think every online marketer should know.
How many website visitors did you get?
How many became leads?
How many clicked through to see your offer?
What percentage of visitors opted in?
And ultimately…did you make any sales or get any signups?
Those numbers tell you a lot more than simply saying:
“I got 5,000 visitors.”
For example, I’d much rather get 500 visitors and 50 leads than 5,000 visitors and two leads.
The bigger traffic number might look impressive, but which campaign would you rather have?
That’s the difference between counting traffic and looking at what your traffic actually did.
My Experience With Traffic Ignition So Far
One reason Traffic Ignition made sense for me to look at was simple:
I was already buying traffic.
And realistically, I’ll probably continue buying traffic because getting people in front of your offers is part of building an online business.
Traffic Ignition gives members access to wholesale traffic through Traffic Authority, along with training and other online marketing tools.
So far, I’ve had a good experience.
Getting started was easy, and there’s plenty of training available if you need help figuring things out.
I’m still testing.
I’m still learning.
And I’m definitely not going to tell you I’ve discovered some magic traffic formula.
I haven’t.
What I can tell you is that I’ve started seeing progress. I’m seeing sales, I’m seeing opt-ins, and I’m seeing more activity than I was seeing before.
Those are my personal results, not a promise of what anyone else will experience. Your results can be completely different depending on your offer, marketing, traffic, follow-up and plenty of other factors.
But seeing that progress is one of the reasons I’ve started paying even more attention to the quality of the traffic I’m sending to my pages.
Is Quality Traffic More Important Than More Traffic?
For me, yes.
If you’re building anything online, eventually you need people to see it.
You can create the greatest website in the world.
You can have an amazing product.
You can write the perfect email.
But somebody still has to see it.
Traffic gives you that opportunity.
Quality traffic gives you a better opportunity.
It still doesn’t guarantee leads, sales, signups or income.
You have to test your pages, work on your follow-up, pay attention to what’s working and make adjustments along the way.
I’ve wasted enough money on online advertising over the years to know that I’m not interested in traffic just because somebody can send me a lot of clicks.
I’d rather know something about where those clicks are coming from and then pay attention to what happens after they get there.
At the end of the day, that’s the part that actually matters.
Want to See What I’m Using for Traffic?
If you’re already buying website traffic—or you know you need more people seeing your offers—Traffic Ignition might be worth taking a look at.
That’s why I joined.
I was already spending money on traffic, so having access to wholesale traffic through Traffic Authority, along with training and marketing tools, made sense for me.
I’m still testing and learning as I go, but I’ve had a good experience with it so far.
