I used to think being a leader in network marketing meant rank, numbers and chasing results.
But the more I’ve grown, the more I realize leadership is about something bigger: how you show up for the people you lead… and for yourself.
Today I created an Attraction Marketing lesson inside my Skool community:

It wasn’t just another training — it was a chance to share the resources I wish I’d had when I was new, and to create something my team could actually use.
Step 1: Reflect on What You Would’ve Needed
When I first started, I wished for guidance that wasn’t the same old hype everyone gave you.
- Clear steps, not vague “post more” advice
- Encouragement, not pressure
- Principles, not scripts
I realized that to be a leader, I first needed to understand what guidance feels actually helpful.
As I create these lessons on Skool, I remind myself to ask myself (yes I know that sounds weird):
If I were new today, what would truly help me succeed?
Step 2: The Shift
It’s one thing to know something.
It’s another to show someone else how to do it.
Leadership requires stepping back from your own activity and focusing on the growth of your team:
- Explaining the why, not just the how
- Breaking big concepts into simple steps
- Modeling patience and consistency
The Skool lesson became my tool for doing exactly that.
Step 3: Build a Foundation Before Chasing
Systems and positioning matter more than hustle.
Teaching my team about attraction marketing wasn’t about chasing numbers. It was about:
- Identity before tactics
- Value before pitch
- Consistency before quick wins
Leadership is about laying the groundwork that lasts long after your initial effort.
Step 4: Stepping Into the Mindset of a Leader
A leader doesn’t just follow instructions – they prepare, guide, and inspire.
Creating this lesson helped me practice:
- Thinking strategically
- Seeing long-term results over instant gratification
- Encouraging others while holding myself accountable
Every small step – planning content, curating resources, answering questions – is part of building that mindset.
Step 5: Make Your Journey a Resource
The final step toward leadership? Making your journey a resource for others. Share it on social media, share it with your team, share your progress so people can learn from that explicitly.
Create a system that is easily duplicated. That starts with being relatable.
In my classroom, I often say:
Done is better than perfect.
Especially for new team members who might think:
“I can never do it like her.”
Why This Matters
Becoming a leader isn’t a title. It’s a series of decisions:
- Reflect on what others need
- Build systems that support growth
- Teach principles, not just tactics
The Skool lesson was a small step. But leadership is built one deliberate step at a time.
Every time I create content, guide my team, or refine a lesson, I’m practicing the leader I want to be. And that journey is just getting started.
